Working closely with the Director of Investment Research, the senior analyst will be integral in driving Wespath’s research capabilities by providing critical insights into asset classes, asset allocation strategies, and market dynamics. The candidate will be responsible for delivering in-depth investment research that supports portfolio management decisions and enhances Wespath's investment allocation framework.
More specifically, as a Senior Investment Research Analyst you will:
- Conduct in-depth research on various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, alternatives, and private markets, to support investment decision-making and portfolio construction.
- Partner with the Public Markets team to integrate research findings into portfolio construction, asset allocation decisions, and investment strategy development.
- Monitor and analyze macroeconomic trends, market risks, and industry developments to provide timely insights that inform strategic asset allocation and portfolio construction. Present findings to wider team in weekly/monthly internal meetings.
- Collaborate with the Communications department and publish a steady flow of investment blogs, whitepapers, formal research documents and other communications.
- Collaborate with the Institutional Investment team to assess and develop asset allocation studies for current and prospective clients, ensuring alignment with client investment objectives and risk tolerance.
- Work with the research team to develop and update the Wespath Outlook document on a quarterly basis and present it to internal and external stakeholders, as required.
- Assist in the development and refinement of capital market assumptions to enhance long-term investment strategy and portfolio positioning.
- Create and distribute a variety of monthly and quarterly research and analytic reports to support internal decision-making and client communications.
- Engage with external investment managers and industry experts to gather insights, validate investment theses, and stay informed on evolving investment trends.
- Support the Chief Investment Officer, Investment Division and other key stakeholders by conducting research on existing and prospective investment positions, market events and various other investment-related themes, as required.
Senior Investment Research Analyst Compensation and Benefits:

- The compensation range for this position is $111,000 - $123,000 with a bonus opportunity and customary benefits. Final compensation will be set based on the hired applicant’s qualifications (education, training, and/or experience related to this role), and as such, may fall outside the range shown.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in investment research, asset allocation, or portfolio management.
- Proficiency with investment research tools and analytic software such as FactSet, eVestment, BlackRock Aladdin, Bloomberg, Wilshire Compass or similar platforms.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex research into clear, actionable recommendations.
Preferred Requirements / Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or CFA designation.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling, quantitative analysis, and data visualization.
- Experience in an OCIO, asset management, or institutional investment environment.
