Job Summary
The Workplace Experience Team (WX) provides essential services in accelerating and supporting the business for corporate real estate, facilities operations, and the overall building environment. The WX Program Assistant is critical in the successful identification, coordination, and execution of the tasks under the Facility Operations department and supports Business Services, Space Planning, and Buildings & Grounds programs.
Job Location:
Based inResearch Triangle Park, North Carolina,within the ~800,000ft.2facility and in service of its employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and complete employee requests via the ticketing system, including documentation.
Assemble, disassemble, and modify commercial furniture and workspaces.
Perform asset management and repairs (flooring, ceilings, roof leaks, wall repair, painting, etc.).
Conduct basic HVAC, lighting, and flooring repairs.
Address emergency roof leaks until vendor response.
Replace air filters and support Facility Engineers as needed.
Power wash sidewalks and undertake other cleaning projects.
Patch and paint walls; assist AV Team with equipment upgrades/replacement.
Support Space Planning team with desk moves and space enhancements.
Set up and break down meetings/events in multipurpose and public use spaces.
Escort, supervise, and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
Ensure compliance with all company policies.
Transport furniture, equipment, and other items between buildings.
Prepare and recover site during inclement weather.
Assist with projects at other sites as needed.
Job Requirements
Ability to work successfully both independently and within a team of varying contexts and members
Strong time management skills, highly reliable and trustworthy, and strong prioritization skills
Basic understanding of HVAC operations, plumbing repairs and lighting repairs
Ability to perform repairs on flooring, base molding and mounting shelving or hanging fixtures
Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe manner
Ability to assess and repair many different types of equipment, furniture or hardscape
Basic understanding of elevator equipment and their proper operations
Creative problem solving with superior attention to detail
Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills
Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, working on ladders, ability to lift/carry at least 50 lbs., and be on your feet for extended amounts of time.
Ability to take direction and shift priorities as necessary within short timeframes
Familiarity with basic power tools and systems furniture is required
Ability to read furniture plans and basic floor plans is desired
Valid Class A driver's license required to operate company owned vehicles as necessary
Flexible work schedule based on project and vendor scheduling
Education
An Associate degree and/or specialized training with a minimum of 2 years related experience is desired
Minimum basic skills in Microsoft Outlook, especially Word, Excel and Outlook required
Comfort with work order management software and technology on multiple devices - laptop, mobile phone, tablet
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
