Summary
This position is located in the United States Department of the Treasury, U.S. Mint, Manufacturing Department - Philadelphia, Plant Manager - PM, Office of Administration, Numismatics Division. The mission of the Numismatics Division is to produce collectable coin sets, precious metal coinage, and medals. This is largely supported by a multi-shift operation manned by wage grade supervisors and trade/craft employees.
Duties
As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (INVENTORY), you will:
- Perform technical supply support work for inventory control and accountability of coinage metal i.e. blanks, coins, rejects, dies, etc.
- Provide needed materials to the production floor and for collecting, reconciling, and storing materials at the end of each shift.
- Maintain an accounting system to record transactions in daily ledger/log books. Maintain log of all cage inventories.
- Perform cycle counts, conducting extensive and exhaustive searches necessary as part of monitoring and controlling inventory integrity.

Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.Specialized experience: For the GS-7, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-6 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
-Demonstrating accountability of supply inventory levels (which includes accounting for, controlling and maintaining balances); AND
-Using an automated inventory system for a product line or in an inventory management environment.
