How you will contribute to LifeNet Healths success:
As a Supervisor, Tissue Recovery, you will supervise Tissue Recovery staff daily duties. Assists the manager with staff development and training programs. Ensures departmental compliance with organizational and industry regulations and standards. Provides leadership to tissue recovery teams and participates in all aspects of tissue recovery operations following established LifeNet and client policies and procedures. Participates in Administrator on Call duties.
Important: This role requires the ability to sit, stand, bend, walk and lift up to 50 lbs. for the duration of the shift; as well as wear personal protective equipment to include: surgical gowns, masks, visors or goggles and caps.
This role is critical to the LifeNet Health mission because it is an important step in taking the donors gifts and transitioning them to lifesaving and health restoring allografts for patients around the globe.
What youll do:
- Participates in all aspects of tissue recovery, including taking an active role in the call schedule as needed. Ensures timely and accurate completion of recovery records to facilitate tissue throughput for processing and release.
- Responsible for day-to-day supervision of the full-time and per diem staff, ensuring on-call and daily schedules are developed and managed equitably and effectively. Monitors and reports payroll for staff according to schedules and case activity.
- Assists the Manager with the evaluation and competency assessment of Tissue Recovery staff. Assists in the establishment and monitoring of departmental and divisional goals and objectives to ensure timely completion.
- Participates in the Administrator-On-Call (AOC) call schedule reviewing case referrals for activation and assisting the recovery teams with case logistics.
- Assists the Manager with the selection, development, and training of Tissue Recovery staff. Participate in staff interviews and assist with the development of formalized training modules.
- Documents, monitors, and provides corrective action of complaints, non-conformances and accidents as needed.
- Develops and maintains Tissue Recovery data reporting systems in order to provide weekly/monthly/yearly reporting of donor statistics and other information as needed.
- Assists the Manager with the development of and compliance with departmental policies and procedures as well as compliance with industry standards and regulations.
What youll bring (Minimum Requirements):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid State Drivers License
- Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS); If not already obtained, to be acquired within 3 years of position start and maintained throughout employment in position.
- 2 years of supervisory experience (may include Team Leader and/or Tissue Recovery Anatomist)
- 3 years of related work experience
Preferred:
- Bachelors Degree; Allied Health, Life Sciences, Anatomy, Nursing, or related field
- LEAN University; Completion of LifeNet Health LEAN Practitioner training (LEAN 101) or equivalent
- Certification; LNH Anatomist Certification or equivalent anatomical knowledge

- Use of computer: Demonstrated computer knowledge with strong emphasis on data analysis.
- Leadership: Must be able to effectively lead team to effectively execute case activity and achieve departmental /office goals and objectives
- Decision making: Independent decisions are made regarding case logistics including recovery site, donor transport, team make up, donor assessment and other case-related activities.
- Interpersonal communication: Requires communicating well with people at different levels; active listening to determine needs and actions; appropriate decision making when receiving and sharing learned information.
- Negotiating/conflict management: Requires working with others as a team, minimizing unnecessary conflict, and remaining a neutral party when involved with conflict resolution.
- Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team in solving problems and executing improvement initiatives.

Salary: $37.26 to $62.11 / hour
* The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location and the candidates qualifications and prior relevant experience. The pay range for this position is $37.26 hourly (entry-level qualifications) to $62.11 hourly (experienced in this role).
* Actual compensation may be higher based on the successful candidates knowledge and relevant experience.
This position is eligible for an annual bonus once eligibility criteria are met.
