Short Description
$5,000 Sign-on bonus for a two-year commitment. Bonus paid as follows:
o $1000 upon completion of first 90 days
o $2000 after completion of 1 year
o $2000 after completion of 2 years
This position requires flexibility and the ability and readiness to work beyond the normal hours. It also requires the ability to handle ambiguity in work plan definition and the ability to adapt to change. May require supervisor to perform clinically, imaging patient if there is a critical need for coverage.
Prepares staffing plan, reviews and approves work schedules to ensure adequate 24 hour staff coverage. Projects staffing needs, flex staff when needed to work within metrics; interviews and assist with hiring the right employees to fill vacant positions. Monitors patient care and analyzes patient care patterns and initiates quality improvement procedures and initiatives to enhance patient services; ensures a safe, diagnostic/therapeutic environment. Initiates patient placement to ensure the delivery of optimal patient care and arranges for continuity of care when warranted by patient condition. Supervises the provision of personalized, coordinated quality services responsive to changing health care trends.
Coordinates and establishes technical care practices; uses selected published practice theory as a framework for coordinating patient care and by providing theory based imaging practice information in unusual or complex patient care situations. Works with managers to formulate plan for professional development. Attends educational in-services as appropriate. Participates in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments. Maintains records on departmental personnel activities and processes.
Actively participates in ongoing or ad hoc committees or task forces to identify and resolve patient care issues. Assist and supervise development of priority competencies (technical skills, critical thinking, and human relations skills) for each type of staff within the clinical service line.
Complets annual staff evaluations. Oversees training and competency of all new hires and completes 90 day probationary evaluations. Clarifies performance expectations with employees and provides ongoing feedback, to staff, on a regular basis. Develops competencies for staff members and ensures that all staff are competent in all aspects of department positions. Adresses inappropriate behaviors or actions by conducting coaching sessions of staff in a direct and confidential manner. All progressive discipline of staff members reviwed with the Manager or Director.
Will serve as content expert for staff and administration by resolving/answering technical issues or concerns which may arise. Serves as point person for completion of ACR Accreditation applications and submission of images and QA documents for all Cooper MRI departments. Provides clinical oversight for MRI protocols and infection control as it relates to high level disinfection.
Obtains appropriate documentation from technical staff as well as participate in Primary Sourcing to ensure staff are in compliance with State, National Accrediting Agencies, as well as compliance with all of Cooper's policies and corporate compliance requirements to include Annual Safety Training, PPD, Fit Testing and safety across the continuum.
Completes payroll responsibilities in Kronos, and ensures that Support individual and departmental achievement through strong and effective employee enganement and the use of recognition methods.
Performs rounding on all staff employees. Responsible for ensuring department operates within or under budgetary guidelines in regards to staffing and expense management
Ability to respond and investigate EARS reporting incidences.

3 years MRI clinical experience
All MRI Imaging and protocols
Analytical, problem solving skills required
Education Requirements
H.S. Diploma, Certificate of Completion/Degree from an accredited Radiography & MRI programs, Associates degree preferred but not required
License/Certification Requirements
Current BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) completed by the American Heart Association
Current- Certification (American Registry of Diagnostic Radiographers) ARRT
Board Certified in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
