The Team
We are seeking an Expense Reimbursement Supervisor to join American Tower’s U.S. Tower division’s Finance Business Operation’s group’s Expense Reimbursement team. The team analyzes the division’s incurred asset-level expenses and coordinates internally to receive reimbursements from customers. Day-to-day you will oversee a team dedicated to maximizing reimbursement revenues while ensuring high accuracy and completeness standards across all portfolios. As Supervisor, you will identify and implement strategic initiatives and process improvements to enhance efficiencies, optimize internal collaborations, and have direct responsibility to increase revenue production.
What You Can Offer Us
- Lead and oversee a team responsible for reconciling and processing reimbursement expenses.
- Exercise independent discretion to establish strategic direction and operational best practices of the team, in alignment with the organization’s overall goals.
- Ownership of specific reimbursement portfolios, including utlities, DAS, and BLM/USFS reimbursements; lead the analysts to evolve and advance the programs by assigning and managing key objectives.
- Initiate new protocols and data analytics to substantially increase revenue, revising processes and procedures as determined necessary, with minimal oversight; drive team to implement those process improvements.
- Make independent decisions related to reimbursement revenue management, balancing financial objectives with business needs and overall customer satisfaction, as well as balancing materiality with level of effort.
- Provide individual and comprehensive expense reimbursement portfolio reporting to examine data in formats that can readily be used by internal teams to drive informed decisions.
- Develop the team and cultivate a collaborative dynamic that further enables business and team goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business, accounting, operations, and accounts receivable teams to seek out and correct revenue loss or completeness gaps in relevant reimbursement portfolios.
- Optimize utility reimbursement processes and back-billing opportunities by verifying and integrating the competing concerns, of the abstraction, data governance and operations teams.
- Develop and maintain process documents for all specific reimbursement portfolios.
- Identify reimbursement revenue trends, provide actionable insights, and implement necessary changes to the team’s processes to maximize reimbursement revenue.
- Improve, refine, and put into operation controls to safeguard reimbursement data and billing integrity.
- Develop and maintain reporting processes and dashboards on relevant portfolios.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree required, with a concentration in Computer Science, Business, or a related quantitative discipline preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience using OBIEE or other similar analysis tools to develop self-service reports and dashboards and manipulate large data sets required.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a baseline understanding of variable revenue and financial operations required.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience using OBIEE or other similar analysis tools to develop self-service reports and dashboards and manipulate large data sets required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in reimbursements or reimbursement-type portfolios in a customer-facing role required.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a baseline understanding of variable revenue and financial operations required.
- Track record of successfully initiated process improvements.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Meticulous attention to detail with an appreciation of the relationship between data quality and the Company’s success.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively to upper management.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
- Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
