As part of that team, the Strategic Account Manager (SAM) will be responsible for developing, communicating, and implementing Strategic Business Plans for assigned accounts and expanding corporate relationships with key stakeholders. These stakeholders will consist of C-suite and Director level leadership in assigned accounts. Customers include, but not limited to, Academic Medical Centers (AMC), Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN), & Regional Health Systems (HS).
Territory includes the following: WA, OR, AK, ID, UT and Western Montana
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Account Development and Pull Through strategies for assigned accounts (IDN, HS, and AMC’s). Elevate argenx partnerships across the complex and important customers from transactional in nature to value-add. Through exemplary collaboration with internal and field-based partners the SAM will help execute on Objectives/Goals/Strategies across the specified Market, reporting to the Strategic Business Leader.
Provide deep insight into the unique needs and opportunities within the large healthcare systems, developing repeatable and scalable best practices for engagement
Establish corporate relationships with key account stakeholders. Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty
Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners, Thought Leader Liaison, Medical Science Liaisons and Field Clinical educators to implement corporate strategies within targeted accounts
Work closely with Territory Business Managers (TBMs) and Strategic Business Leaders (SBL) to Develop and Support optimal Patient Pathways and Pull Through opportunities to execute Market Strategy
Identify co-creation opportunities through market research, landscape analysis and customer engagement
Facilitate greater compliant access for argenx team members within Accounts
Lead and conduct regular Business Reviews of targeted accounts with cross-functional team
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree Required
10+ years of related pharmaceutical experience is necessary with at least 3 years of direct, successful experience in Strategic Account Management
Experience executing IDN/Health System and Academic Medical Centers account management
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, manage accounts effectively by objectively evaluating various opportunities
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including ability to synthesize data and deliver a clear overview of Market and Account issues, challenges, and priorities
Strong track record of successful account management experience
Strong Business Acumen, Strategic Planning, Executive Level Selling, and Cross Functional Collaboration and Leadership skills required
Must reside within the geographic territory
Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, highly collaborative environment
Aligned with argenx Pillars of Co-Creation, Innovation, Empowerment, Excellence, and Humility
Ability to travel, approximately 50% within the territory as needed to meet with Accounts, and attend events both domestic and globally
Advanced degree preferred
Experience in rare disease or Neurology preferred
