Job Summary
As Senior Director of Professional Services, you will lead all aspects of North America (NA), Professional Services organization including a matrixed alignment to our US Public Sector business. As a key member of the Senior Worldwide Professional Services Management team, you ensure that it remains extremely focused on enabling strategic growth of the NetApp products through the sales and delivery of Professional Services. Critical outcomes include the achievement of financial performance, understanding and meeting customer requirements, building long-term relationships, and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction. You work closely with North America Sales and Solutions Engineering teams, Portfolio teams and operations teams to drive total customer satisfaction, services business enhancements and growth, as well as financial management of the services business. This position requires a dynamic, hard-working and ambitious individual, with excellent communication skills. Individuals will possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills and have experience driving business growth in partnership with field sales organizations. Key strengths also include managing and evolving professional services consulting practices.
Essential Functions
* Manage the organization responsible for selling and delivering NetApp solutions within the NA Geo including staff, partners, budget and technical commitments, and productivity targets.
* Team with NetApp Sales leadership to position, sell and deliver services and develop business within North America.
* Function as the Senior PS resource for all customer-facing meetings.
* Drive local and corporate best practices throughout NA to ensure consistent, high quality and repeatable solutions.
* Contribute to the planning and budget process as it relates to planning, goal attainment, expense management, and revenue recognition.
* Manage, track, and forecast financial targets and provide reporting and submission of financial data to support corporate actions.
* Manage, enable, and support the partner ecosystem in North America.
* Evangelize the Service portfolio offerings across the NA team, align WWPS offerings to NetApp's Key Solutions and GTM strategies.
* Leverage a consistent message and method for planning and delivery of PS engagements to customers and partners.
* Lead and/or contribute to the revisions of presentation materials for both corporate and NA specific documents.
* Work with Corporate groups on enhancements of deliverables, processes, and operational solutions.
* Support all escalations in the NA Region.
Job Requirements
* Broad exposure to a variety of technologies/concepts and management in a distributed environment.
* Experience partnering with Sales Organizations to drive business growth with Service Solutions.
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as presentation, customer, business, and negotiation skills.
* Experience in managing and enhancing a world-class professional service organization.
* Extensive experience in building a Professional Services and/or Managed Services consulting practice.
* Senior management experience with consulting business management, data center solutions, storage solutions, cloud, security, automation, and data protection.
* Experience in business development, customer management, partner management, operations, and project management.
* Recurring review and approval of legal and delivery documents. Ensuring organizational compliance with sales and operations policies.
* Reporting requirements include weekly performance reports to Sales peers, monthly Forecast of bookings and revenue recognition (commits and upside), and monthly business reviews (both direct team and sales reports).
* This level of manager successfully manages directors and senior level managers.
* This individual provides strategy and direction for and across major functional areas of the business based on in- depth knowledge of the functional areas, business strategies, and company goals.
* The scope of responsibility for this person includes promoting new ideas and innovative concepts which have a long-term effect on the company's success. The focus is on translating functional strategies into operational plans and priorities.
* This individual manages and owns a major segment of work within a broad functional area or geographic region with full responsibility for directing and controlling activities with outcomes.
* May participate in building a budget plan and is accountable for managing the assigned budget plan.
* Sets revenue targets and ensures targets are met.
* This individual effectively works with and influences executive level employees within and outside of their function, and/or major customers.
* The interactions of this individual require strong people skills, such as negotiating with customers or management, or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters on an organizational level.
* Acts in a leadership role and establishes clear goals, objectives and priorities that communicate a vision for the function and organization.
* Receives Senior Management review of objectives to determine success.
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 248,625 - 370,040 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
