Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineering Technician II to join our MK 48 Online division In Yorktown Va. This position is in the MK 48 Heavyweight Torpedo Intermediate Maintenance Activity with Onsite Technicians who perform various maintenance actions using detailed procedures and will have oversight from a direct Manager in the building of the MK 48 Heavyweight Torpedo.
Responsibilities Include:

• Assist in the assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, handling and testing of Torpedo Mounted Dispensers (TMD) and A-Cables processed at the MK 48 Torpedo facility in Yorktown, VA

• Perform maintenance actions in accordance with approved NAVSEA Technical Manuals

• Provide technical support and training in TMD/A-Cable operations

• Perform maintenance and inspections of associated weight handling, ordnance handling, and ordnance testing equipment

• Perform packaging, preparation, shipping, and receiving in accordance with applicable regulations

Basic Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED and 0-2 plus years related experience required

• Must be able to lift 30 lbs. and able to wear Steel Toe Shoes and other safety gear

• Ability to pass an Explosive Handler Physical

• Ability to obtain Arms and Ammunition Explosive Screening

• Proficiency in Microsoft products such as Windows Desktop OS, Office Product suite

• Must be a US Citizen and have/maintain a U.S. Department Of Defense (DOD) Secret security clearance, minimum active Interim Secret clearance to start

• Local to Yorktown, VA

Preferred Qualifications:

• AA Degree/2 year technical degree

• 2 plus years related experience or technical school certificate

• DoD Secret Security Clearance

Salary Range: $22 - $26
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
