JOB SUMMARY

Department Laboratory
Shift Night 7on7off 2:00am - 12:30pm
Preferred Experience Must have one of the following agencies certifications: PBT, ASCP, NPA, ASPT, NCCT, NHA, AMT, NAHP, AMCA, AAH or ACA with at least 3 yrs of experience in a hospital setting.Must be able to work at least 4 shifts per month and at least 1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday per year.
The Phlebotomist 2 collects and processes quality specimens in a safe manner as outlined in BSWH policies and procedures. Aids in the delivery of exceptional patient care. Assists with training and auditing of behaviors and performance, as assigned.

- Follows all established specimen collection, labeling, transportation, and handling procedures.
- Responsible for high customer satisfaction through professional and ethical conduct.

- EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
- EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
Donor Phlebotomy Tech-ASCP (DPT), Phlebotomy Technician (PBT): Must have a Phlebotomy Tech Cert from one of these agencies:
ASCP, NPA, ASPT, NCCT, NHA, AMT, NAHP, AMCA, AAH or ACA.
OR
Donor Phlebotomy Tech certification from the ASCP.
