The Regional Permit Coordinator reports to the District Manager in all areas across the business. This position will work with the team in managing the permitting process from start to finish. This will include successful application and on-time approval for all local, town, county, and state permits including relevant OOCs and NOIs. Regional Permit Coordinator’s will be expected to conduct themselves with a high degree of integrity and act like a respected industry leader within assigned district offices. ’Regional Permit Coordinators will be expected to hold themselves and our colleagues to the highest standards, and provide SOLitude customers with premium-level service at all times.
Primary or Key Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Submit permit packages via online systems, fax, or in person, if necessary including permit tracking and correlation
Track all applications through approval process
Receive completed permit packages
Communicate with jurisdictional employees to understand any changes in permitting requirements
Track jurisdiction specific requirements and provide that information to the team
Work with local jurisdictions to move toward ideal permitting conditions
Posting permit submittals, approved permits, manage the permitting module in Google Drive
Manage all financial and reporting aspects to permitting
Responsible for building permit relationships and to act as the liaison between SOLitude with all permitting authorities
Track upcoming projects and ensure all applicable notifications are sent
Support end of month financials
Responsible for any traffic control and the associated tasks, follow up and relationships required.
Provide the District Manager and supporting team with clear directions and goals.
Keep track of permit timelines and make sure that permit applications are completed on time and within the available budget.
MObtain and keep current supervisory-level state licensing to perform and oversee management activities for assigned projects.
Skills & Responsibilities for Regional Permit Coordinator
Experience with environmental permitting is preferred
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Monday through Friday 8 am 5 pm in an office environment.
Education and Experience
Ability to follow established procedures and practices
Commitment to all health and safety guidelines
Be familiar with local, state and federal regarding pesticides as well as general familiarity with OSHA, EPA and third party auditing agencies of the states where you work.
Effective verbal and listening communication skills
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Established proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Google Suite and other standard computer programs required.
Good public speaking, communication, and customer service skills required.
Certifications & Licenses
Has obtained all state and federal licenses needed.
Valid driver's license
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position. Regional Permit Coordinators may report to an office, but can also work remotely. Some time will be spent traveling. There will be overnight travel required.
