36Summary:
Patient Care Technicians deliver competent and skilled care to patients and families as supervised and delegated by the RN/LVN. Patient Care Technicians deliver care with a team-oriented approach and an emphasis on good customer relations. After receiving appropriate training on medication security, Patient Care Technicians will assist in the ordering, stocking, and maintaining of supplies in the medication rooms.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Completion of certified NA, Medical Assistant course or other comparable health care provider program with course work in patient assessment/vital signs and growth and development, i.e. 1 clinical semester in accredited nursing program.
Certification/Licensure:
Current BLS
