Medical Assistant Registered or Certified Preferred
Rockville MD
MUST:
4+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a high volume private practice
Medical Assistant diploma or registered or certified
If not Registered or Certified willing to become so
Comfortable working front office, back office and phones
Comfortable triaging phone calls on physicians line
Ability to administer EKG's and manual BP's
Administer injections
Respond to patient and pharmacy inquiries
Assisting with exams and procedures
Verifying insurance
Strong clinical aptitude
Strong customer service skills
Comfortable stocking and maintaining rooms
Wound care experience and bandaging
Comfortable performing clinical duties as needed
Experience processing referrals including prescriptions
Experience entering and updating patient information in EMR
DUTIES:
The duties of the call center Medical Assistant include but are not limited to the following:
Room patients
Obtain vitals
Administer injections
Generate prescription requests for approval and forward to pharmacies
Review treatment plans
Perform ECGs
Operate and maintain O2
Bandaging and wound care
Clean and stock rooms
Process prescription requests
Scan medical records
Take messages for physicians and forward
