The Media Production Specialist oversees the style, production, and media management of instructional video, graphic design, motion graphics, and infographics for the eLearning production team. This includes outlining and communicating style guides, workflow, and governance for video and visual media production.
What You'll Do:
Creates and develops multimedia content for eLearning courses.
Develops and maintains standards for style, recording, editing and producing online training videos and other multimedia content.
Proactively consults with Learning Experience Designers and other subject matter experts to understand the learning objectives and content required to support the target audience's performance.
Work with subject matter experts, to produce, capture, and edit eLearning video and other multimedia content.
Creates storyboards and mockups of online videos, tutorials, simulations, and visual designs.
Collaborate with individuals and teams on creative approaches to projects: articulating the production process and expectations, communicating issues, providing status updates, and suggesting appropriate methods for improvement.
Develop and manage creative projects within time and cost constraints. Support strategy for production, post-production, and delivery resources, tools, and equipment necessary for the development of eLearning materials.
Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and train other staff on a variety of equipment and software. Serve as the in-house video and multimedia expert for the department.
Support the research, acquisition, and application of emerging tools and techniques.
Motivate, encourage, and help those within the team as well as those on supported teams, fostering an environment of positivity and productivity.
Recommends strategies and procedures by evaluating learning outcomes; identifying problems, and evaluating trends.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Instructional Design, Graphic Design, or Film & Video Production with 3+ years of experience in developing visually outstanding video tutorials and e-learning courses, or an equivalent approach of education and experience.
Proficient in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Motion, and/or Camtasia Studio. (Graphic or video samples required.)
Intermediate experience with graphics programs (e.g. Adobe Photoshop or similar program.)
Ability to use critical thinking skills to evaluate various content solutions
Ability to identify complex problems and evaluate options
Demonstrated ability to give and receive constructive feedback in a professional manner
Experience creating motion / vector graphics-based content.
Eagerness to grow by learning new visual styles, instructional methodologies, and technologies.
Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills to handle juggling multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to learn a wide variety of software applications and development tools.
Strong interpersonal skills to foster team collaboration and a professional work environment
