Purpose Statement

The Meatball Machine Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of meatball production machinery to ensure high-quality product output while maintaining safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. This role involves machine setup, operation, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance within a fast-paced production environment.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

• Set up and operate meatball machines in accordance with production schedules and product specifications.
• Monitor machine performance to ensure consistent production flow and product quality.
• Adjust settings and perform minor troubleshooting to address production variances.
• Inspect meatballs to ensure they meet size, weight, and quality standards.
• Regularly monitor temperature, pressure, and other parameters during the production process.
• Record and report any deviations or defects in production to the supervisor.
• Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with maintenance personnel to address mechanical issues.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards, including wearing appropriate PPE.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Follow all health and safety regulations to minimize risks.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and quality assurance staff.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions as needed.
• Assist in other production tasks as assigned to meet operational needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Familiarity with operating food processing machinery is an advantage.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production equipment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a cold or humid environment.
• Basic math and record keeping skills.
