Full Job Description
The Manager, Digital Content Operations supports the business goals of the Marketing team by providing expert guidance on how to best evolve our content operations team, tools and resources. As part of the Digital Solutions team, you play a pivotal role in the development, construction, and maintenance of the infrastructure, platform, process and standards that optimize critical content delivery across SEI’s web properties. The manager acts as a liaison between operations, creative, IT, and digital marketing teams, and is an evangelist of digital content operational practices and efficiencies. Your strategic mindset, data-driven approach, and innovative thinking will be critical in achieving our organizational goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Ensure a positive, collaborative work environment for the team.
  • Lead team by providing support, direction, and feedback to develop team members’ skills and knowledge within their day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Identify opportunities for and provide team leadership in workflow processes, with a focus on streamlining, optimizing, and documenting the way in which we allocate our team to deliver digital content.
  • Oversee recruitment and hiring activities, including interviewing, and conducting talent exercises
  • Provides purpose, direction, career guidance, and motivation to the team, by broadening team members' skills and knowledge.
  • Set quality and performance standards for the team.

Strategic Oversight:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer and product needs
  • Represent the user, business, and technology to drive balanced decisions
  • Create strategies that support users at all points throughout the digital experience
  • Benchmark, monitor and analyze metrics related to functional areas
  • Communicate regularly with broader Digital Solutions team and key stakeholders to stay aligned on roadmaps, upcoming initiatives, technical enhancements and other non-editorial activities of interest.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of documentation to make platform guidelines, content standards, and technical concepts more accessible to team members in a variety of roles.
  • Ensure effective implementation of business process solutions to streamline and standardize content delivery, presentation, and production, and offer informed recommendations as to scope, lift, and impact of solutions.
  • Support oversight and implementation of SEO strategies to increase organic visibility and improve search engine rankings.
  • Routinely collaborate with Content, Product, UX, outside partners, and other relevant stakeholders to resolve internal and customer-facing issues as quickly as possible.
  • Share ongoing value realization proactively to stakeholders and team members.
  • Evaluate and recommend new marketing technologies as needed to improve and optimize content production success metrics.

  • Product Ninja (agile, enthusiastic, highly skilled in all things web experiences)

Work Experience:

  • At least 10+ years’ experience working in a web production or development environment, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with a variety of partners, across many levels of leadership, to effectively collaborate and communicate business priorities.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic plans that drive website traffic, leads, and conversions.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager preferred, but not required
  • Understanding of SEO principles and best practices
  • Proficiency in understanding data to extract insights and inform decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with disparately located teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience setting and maintaining content and graphic production standards on web properties.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience).
  • MBA or equivalent is a plus.

Other:

  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule including both working from home and on-site. The selected applicant for this position may be required to work onsite and attend onsite or offsite meetings and events.
  • When on site, typical office setting.
  • Access information using a computer.
  • Must be able to travel 0-10% of time.
  • Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job.

$103,900.00 - $155,900.00 - Salary
