What you will experience in this position:

As a Machine Operator - CNC at nVent Management Company, you will be an integral part of our dedicated manufacturing team in Houston, TX. This role offers you the outstanding opportunity to collaborate closely with the engineering team to steer new and existing projects towards more manufacturable designs. You will ensure flawless product conformance using advanced inspection equipment and quality control procedures. Additionally, you will:

Perform daily machine maintenance tasks such as fluid refill, chip removal, and check tooling.
Maintain a safe working environment with a safety-first attitude.
Make detailed adjustments to CNC machines and programs as needed.
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to complete machining tasks accurately.
Inspect parts during machining for accuracy and precision.
Complete job/tooling setups with minimal supervision.
Prepare tooling/fixturing for each job to ensure efficient operations.
Apply principles of Lean Manufacturing to decrease setup times and boost overall efficiency.
Actively participate in daily Continuous Improvement activities.

You have:

A strong background in machining principles, including the use of bore gauges and other measuring tools.
The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
Experience with programming software, preferred
Excellent attention to detail and a dedication to producing high-quality work.
The ability to perform daily machine maintenance tasks and maintain a clean work environment.
Skills to calculate accurate feeds and speeds for various materials such as steel, copper, brass, aluminum, and bronze.
Physical and environmental capabilities required to work in a manufacturing setting, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and adapting to various work conditions.
