As a Lead Software Automation Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for leading the automation efforts and ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate with a team of skilled engineers and work with cross-functional teams to drive a culture of quality, automation, and continuous improvement. You will report directly to our Software Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Atlanta, Fort Mill, or Pittsburgh location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will have a significant impact on our software development processes, automation strategies, and overall product quality. You will leverage AI tools, cloud services, and MLOps to enhance our automation capabilities, including mobile app automation, test reporting, integration automation, and performance and security testing. Additionally, experience with AI/ML development, big data, and security will be valuable in this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead the automation efforts and develop comprehensive automation strategies using AI tools, cloud services, and MLOps
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test plans and test cases
* Drive test automation initiatives, including mobile app automation, and increase test coverage through automation
* Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate testing tools and frameworks
* Oversee the execution of test cases, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing
* Develop and maintain automation frameworks to support efficient and effective testing
* Analyze test results and identify areas for process improvement
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement and enhance testing processes, including integration automation
* Generate and communicate test reports and quality metrics to stakeholders
YOU MUST HAVE
* Minimum of 8 years of experience in software automation engineering
* Strong experience in test automation, test planning, and test case design
* Proficiency in automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, TestNG, or similar platforms
* Familiarity with mobile app automation frameworks and tools
* Experience with test reporting and generating quality metrics
* Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, and Java
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Experience with AI/ML development, big data, and security
WE VALUE
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
* Experience with Agile development methodologies
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
* Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Hands-on development experience
