JOB SUMMARY: The IT Training Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering internal training programs that provide a solid baseline for designDATA new hires and enhance existing skills for all designDATA staff. This role may also involve creating and delivering training material for external customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Create and effectively maintain an internal "continuous learning program" for the designDATA Help Desk where staff is provided with regular training on high priority topics.

• Effectively train designDATA new hires on both technical and customer service topics. Many new hires will be End User Support staff, so the Training Specialist must become an expert on the designDATA End User Support role, as well as understanding the other designDATA job roles.

• Identify training and development needs through job analysis, employee discussion, and consultation with team leads and Directors. Work to translate these needs into effective training materials.

• Determine proper training delivery vehicles by communicating with staff and Directors.

• Work with the Director of Training to ensure the organization's training strategy is up to date.

• Help with the designDATA Certification Program. This includes keeping track of upcoming employee start and end certification dates, ordering necessary certification material for employees, working with training material vendors, and ensuring designDATA is meeting necessary partner criteria.

• Evaluate, edit, and help publish training material, articles, or other information developed by staff.

• Monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and through discussions with trainees and team leads/Directors.
• Keep up to date with new training technologies and methodologies by reading training magazines, online articles, and/or attending relevant courses, as well as continuing to develop needed skills.
• As needed, assist other training personnel in delivering customer-facing and web-based training to designDATA clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in training, HR, Education, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT training role
• Valid driver's license, insurance and reliable personal vehicle
