JOB DESCRIPTION
The IT Program Manager will be responsible for developing, overseeing and coordinating multiple interconnected projects, ensuring successful delivery by managing overall program scope, schedule, and cost among the cross functional teams. Providing strong leadership skills to guide the projects through the strategic planning all the way through implementation.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Defining program goals, objectives, and overall strategy, aligning them with business needs. Communicating program status updates to key stakeholders, including senior leadership and project teams.
- Provide cross-functional collaboration between different project/teams involved in the program.
- Manage and guide the project managers within the program to ensure a quality delivery within the agreed upon schedule.
- Executing changes effectively within the program, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing disruption to operational and day to day activities.
- Proactively identifying program risks, developing mitigation plans, and actively monitoring for potential issues. Managing and tracking all key program decisions.
- Be the primary point of contact for escalated issues that arise within the program. Act decisively to resolve problems, mitigating risks and minimizing project delays.
- Tracking program budgets, identifying cost variances, reporting, and making necessary adjustments as needed.
- Monitoring the progress of individual projects within the program, identifying interdependencies across projects, and ensuring that critical path is not delayed.
- Creating and managing the program communications plan across all project stakeholders.
- Continuously monitoring and assess program performance aligning with compliance.
- Ensuring the program is compliant with the PMO processes and procedures.
- Proactively obtaining and managing resource requirements and ensuring we have the right skill sets allocated at the right time during the lifecycle of the program.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business, IT and internal and external vendors.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors to ensure they meet project timelines, quality standards, and financial agreements.
- Develop and maintain KPIS, analyze program performance, prepare executive-level weekly/monthly reports, and present to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure effective communication across project teams and with stakeholders, maintaining transparency and alignment on project objectives and outcomes.
- Develop and establish a post implementation support plan.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the project management office (PMO) management process, tools, and systems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors Degree in information systems, business administration, or a related field. Master’s degree Preferred
- 7+ years of experience in project/program management in a technology-driven environment.
- Proven experience in managing large, complex project program across diverse departments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive project teams and stakeholders towards successful outcomes.
- In-depth understanding of project/program management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Excellent communication and people skills, capable of engaging effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen diligence.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools such as ServiceNow SPM or Microsoft Azure DevOps.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management software.
- Relevant certifications in project or portfolio management (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP)®, PfMP® - Portfolio Management Professional), Agile methodologies are highly desirable.
