Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER
Biweekly Hours: 80.00
Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm

Summary:
Supports the MetroHealth Simulation Institute (MSI) by managing projects to ensure a globally consistent training experience. Promotes collaboration, partnership, and relationships among stakeholders. Organizes the course development/evaluation cycle, collaborating with MSI Medical Director, MSI Director, and subject matter experts and MSI staff to develop and deploy courses, programs, and activities. Collaborates with all pertinent stakeholders to generate meaningful outcomes to support key drivers. Possess and apply knowledge of educational models and theories, including instructional design and adult learning theory. Blend instructional design methods to position the MetroHealth Simulation Institute as a leader in evidenced-based learning that is grounded in theory and deliberate practice. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required PhD in education, industrial organizational psychology, human factors psychology, instructional design, educational technology or similar relevant field or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below. 2 years of instructional design experience. In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models. Lesson and curriculum planning skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. Possess and applies knowledge of educational models and theories, including instructional design and adult learning theory. Demonstrated ability to use common software and web-based educational delivery methods, including remote-learning models. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred: Experience designing healthcare-related programs. Experience working within an academic environment. Experience using Articulate 360.
Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. Ability to lift up to seventy-five (75) pounds with assistance.
