What You'll Do
*This is a temporary assignment (up to 12 months).
Global Services (GS) HR aims to deliver smooth day-to-day operations and provide strategic business partnering across GS, our functions and local / regional teams. Together, we are focused on service excellence, and business acumen while promoting a positive office and people experience for >3,000 employees. Reporting into the Executive Director for GS HR and a member of our Innovation, Change and Communications team, you will bring your consultative approach and quantitative & qualitative analytical skills to take ownership for driving and executing on a variety of people projects and programs that support our ambitious people and operations agenda. Working cross-functionally as a common thread across groups to set strategy, you will own direction and approach for various projects, change initiatives and process improvements by:
- Bringing your strong quantitative skills
- Creating roadmaps and project/change implementation plans
- Defining, managing and controlling project scope
- Developing detailed project and resources plans, balancing dependencies, and setting predicable dates
- Managing all aspects of the project, including requirements, design, development priorities, quality assurance, change management, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, deployment, and stabilization
- Connecting dots with other functions, businesses and teams to thought-partner and drive best practice
The project portfolio will be fluid, an example includes:
- Reimagining our mid-year and year-end HR programs and associated processes, including how we partner and work together with other teams (e.g. global compensation on benchmarks, leveraging tools...)
You're Good At
- Working with large data sets. You are comfortable running with large, confidential data sets for data intensive programs and change initiatives.
- Working in a complex global environment at pace. You are comfortable managing multiple deliverables with multiple inputs often with high impact, time sensitive requirements. You will thrive in leading and driving change in an often-ambiguous environment
- Stakeholder Engagement. You can hear what someone needs, translate it into your own words, and create it. You are politically and organizationally savvy and can navigate/influence complex matrix organizations
- Communicating in a mature and thoughtful manner - demonstrating credibility and displaying "executive" presence. Senior leaders will value your contributions to the conversations you participate in
- Structuring and analyzing information. You can take an idea for organizing data and turn it into a useful deliverable
- Logically considering how complex projects get completed
- Fostering strong internal and external relationships ensuring strong teaming and overall success of projects and programs
What You'll Bring
- 8+ years of applicable experience
- MBA or Masters degree in Human Resources, Operations, Finance, Strategy or related discipline preferred
- Exceptional quantitative and qualitative skills with an ability to translate into a digestible, simple and strategic messaging
- Track record of successful change and project management to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness across global organizations. Managing the technical and cultural aspects of change
- Experience at BCG or other professional services firm in a business partnership and/or strategic planning role is beneficial
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and appetite to leverage more progressive digital tools for work process and teaming
- Experience working successfully within a complex matrix structured organization is essential. Global/International experience and track record of managing teams and projects across borders
- Experience managing teams and stakeholders, and an orientation towards achieving results
- Virtual work with international team members, some travel to support team or other work efforts
