Key Responsibilities

We are looking forExecutive Director, Fund Finance tomaximize customer profitability from FI relationships, originate, lead, structure, execute and distribute fund finance transactions including but not limited to (i) Fund level subscription financing (ii) Fund level NAV financing (iii) GP financing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve the quantitative and qualitative performance objectives set for the fund finance business.
  • Originate, lead, structure Fund Finance transactions inclusive of Subscription Finance, NAV, Hybrid and GP/Management Company facilities.
  • Cultivate client relationships prospect new financing opportunities through premier product solution offering.
  • Lead various strategic programs to achieve capital and balance sheet efficiency.
  • Develop new product and new structures to meet client needs and market trends.
  • Represent SCB Fund Finance in the marketplace; and has an active role in the Fund Finance Association, which includes key clients, banks, legal counsel, etc.
  • Establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders and relevant segment and product partners to efficiently and effectively deliver the product to our clients; maximize return by cross selling to other product groups.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining governance and oversight of the Global Fund Finance book.

  • Manage team to deliver budget, provide coaching mentoring to team where needed and transfer product and market knowledge to team.
  • Support and provide guidance on direct reports career development and progression.
  • Contribute to the training and development of Fund Level Finance market structures with the wider CIB team globally.
  • Support a talent identification process and sponsor development activities that focus on identification of high performing and high potential individuals in the Group's business to ensure a high-quality succession pipeline.
  • Drive the change in the talent pool where possible to achieve diversity and inclusion.
  • Develop and reward talented people and deliver business goals by active sponsorship and leadership of people management activities.
  • Develop a high-performance culture by balancing staff performance on conduct and risk management and revenue growth, and reward people fairly. Lead the way on culture and values to set the appropriate tone across team and work with Management Team members to ensure people are recognised and rewarded adequately
  • Balance financial performance with strong risk mitigation and compliance-driven culture.
  • Assume accountability for credit risk of subscription finance and other fund finance transactions in conjunction with GAMs and coverage teams.
  • Establish Operating Procedure for Fund Finance business.
  • Adherence to Group's policies and procedures.
  • Ensure business model adheres to SCB values.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Masters degree preferred

Qualifications

  • 11+ years of experience in commercial banking
  • 5+ years of fund finance industry experience
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and credit underwriting skills
  • Broad financing and capital markets product expertise, and a demonstrated ability to deliver SCB products to FI clients
  • Experience in reading, negotiating, and interpreting legal agreements, knowledge of security law in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong market knowledge in fund finance market

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 214,240USD to 267,800 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
