Location:Hybrid - Tuesday through Thursday - McLean, VA
Position Description:
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a close-knit team supporting a Large Financial Services Client. In this role, you will collaborate with fellow developers, internal employees, cash desk traders, and users to enhance existing systems. Your responsibilities will include engaging with business users to define requirements and design tools for trade analytics, pooling, securitization, trade capture, reporting, and reconciliation. You will be involved in application development, prototyping, and providing high-level technical consulting. You will develop cutting-edge technology solutions, predict the effects of configuration changes, and identify performance optimization opportunities. Additionally, you will support conflict resolution and handle ad-hoc requests to assist our business partners within the division. Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in computer science or related field.
* The ideal candidate willhave 7-10 years of experience in their field
* 5-7 years of IT experience in design, development, integration and testing of software solutions based on J2EE technologies including servlets, Java Server Pages (JSP), and JDBC.
* 5-7 years of experience with relational databases including Sybase, SQL Server, MySQL, and/or DB2.
* 2-3 years of experience with managing, building, and deploying code through tools including Eclipse, GIT, Gradle, Docker, and Jenkins.
* 2-3 years of experience designing and executing JUnit test cases using Mockito framework based on business requirements and functional specifications.
* Excellent relationship management, creativeproblem solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to quicklyadapt to any new environment and flexibility to support team with ad hoc task to ensure delivery needs are met
* Strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to work well with a variety of personalities.
* Ability to work effectively with continuous change and short deadlines.
