What You Will Get To Do:
- Review tax workpapers.
- Responsible for meeting client deliverable due dates.
- Develops and implements solutions to partnership tax allocation issues within the framework of our proprietary software.
- Interacts with internal fund accounting staff on an as-needed basis to provide tax accounting guidance.
- Assists in the maintenance and testing of our software, workpapers and procedures by analyzing changes in tax and industry requirements and suggests improvements.
- Performs research of relevant tax laws, regulations and rulings to determine the proper tax treatment of issues.
- Analyzes company financial statements.
- Manage and mentor a team
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in taxation or accounting – CPA/MBA a plus.
- A solid understanding of the accounting & tax treatments applicable to a wide variety of publicly & privately traded domestic & foreign financial instruments including equities, debt, forwards, futures, options, swaps & derivatives.
- 8+ years of recent partnership tax accounting experience, preferably in the area of investment partnerships.
- 4+ years of supervisory experience
- An above-average proficiency in the use of MS Excel as well as a working knowledge of the entire MS Office product suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proven ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of client service.
