Job Summary:Information and Technology Services (ITS) is looking for an Assistant Director of EAS Architecture and Technical Operations to join the Enterprise Application within ITS.
You will provide strategic and operational leadership for the technical areas of EAS (Enterprise Administration Systems), including direct management of the EAS technical infrastructure teams. You will also provide leadership representation for EAS technical and operational priorities across ITS areas, such as coordination with Infrastructure, Information Assurance, Support Service and the Data Science Practice. This is a member of the EAS leadership team reporting to the Executive Director of Enterprise Application Services.

Responsibilities:- Provide strategic guidance on large-scale system migrations to cloud-based technology, while reskilling infrastructure resources to best support future technology platforms.
- Collaborate closely with EAS service areas to understand business requirements related to technical and operational priorities within the university's ecosystem.
- Partner with application, infrastructure, integration, data & analytics teams to architect solutions to meet business goals.
- Collaborate across ITS areas to evolve a strategy for establishing a standard integration platform (e.g., iPaaS, vendor-provided integration platforms).
- Establish and execute on Operational Excellence processes including the application of regular maintenance and upgrades, automation of repeatable processes, on-call procedures, and standardization of Production and Non-Production infrastructure footprints.
- Evolve the EAS architecture strategy in line with application infrastructure changes aligned with industry best practices.
- Collaborate across ITS to maintain and test robust information systems disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity and resilience in the face of unforeseen disruptions.
- Lead the strategy and prioritization of security, audit, penetration testing, tasks and other related tasks.
- Proactive evaluation of enterprise system performance issues and work across ITS to guide investigation, problem solving and standard load testing to ensure a positive user experience.
- Provide Service Ownership for several vendor products, including maintaining vendor relationships and contract management (e.g., RMJ, STAT, LibCal and Simply Voting).
- Collaborate with other Service Owners across EAS for strategic vendor management led by application areas (e.g., Oracle/PeopleSoft, eResearch/Huron, Imaging/Perceptive Content, Development/Blackbaud, and SAP Business Objects).
- Research new technologies and tools to meet the needs of the organization as defined by product strategy and enabling technologies.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, certification and experience.
- 8 years relevant work experience in information technology that may include: architecture design, implementation strategies, process improvement, project management, and operational excellence.
- 5 years experience in a management position to include responsibility for strategic planning, customer relationship management, project management, vendor management, resource planning and scheduling, and people management experience that includes recruiting, mentoring, career development, performance management, and team building.
