Corporate Event Planner
Herndon, VA
Pay From: $35.00 per hour
MUST:
Experienced Corporate Event Planner
3+ years of experience planning events
Experience managing trade show planning and set-up
Event management software experience (Cvent, Zuddl, One Cause, or similar)
Experience reviewing contracts and event orders
Experience with vendor management and making sure everyone is aligned to deliver on-time.
Experience negotiating with vendors
Experience managing multi-day events with over 400 attendees
Motivated self-starter, able to manage aspects of the event independently with guidance, but minimal hands-on management
Ability to lift 40lb and stay active for extended periods at events
DUTIES:
Assist in planning and executing the overall event
Work with event vendors
Assist with planning and executing a silent auction
Assist with planning and executing a themed reception
Coordinate and manage employee invitations, RSVPs, and on-site check-in using event management software (training on software will be available)
Provide excellent customer service during event to executives, board members, and company management
Assist in coordinating event signage and design
Coordinate trade show expo-style session
Work as a key member of an events team within the marketing and communications department
