Program Experience

The Global Medical Communications internship program is a hands-on experience in supporting the delivery of clinically relevant data to internal and external stakeholders. The 10- to 12-week experience will help students develop core competencies in scientific communications and learning about the pharmaceutical industry by working cross-functionally within Global Medical Affairs and interacting with broader functions within the organization.
Main Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of scientific communication materials and resources in a meaningful, accurate, fair-balanced, and consistent manner for assigned products and indications. You will also explore various communication channels to both internal and external stakeholders; including above market communication to in-market affiliates.
Support the implementation of Medical Affairs Strategy Team (MAST) approved tactical plans by contributing to the creation, or update, of scientific communication materials such as scientific core medical deck(s), scientific communication platform, lexicon, FAQ and other medical resources
Assist, where appropriate, in the medical/scientific review of materials
Gain therapeutic knowledge of assigned therapeutic area and in-line (marketed) products
Obtain a strong understanding of the different functions within Global Medical Affairs and partner with appropriate functions to deliver on our medical tactics
Gain knowledge in the appropriate utilization of platforms within GMA (e.g., Veeva MedComms, Veeva PromoMats, Microsoft Teams, etc)

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in relevant software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat
